(Komi-Permyak)

Neutr & NoAMark

Neutr: Case alignment is neutral: the functions S, A, and P are not marked morphologically.

NoAMark: The function A is not explicitly marked, while S, P, or both are marked. A is therefore marked with a zero (∅) morpheme.

In Komi-Permyak, nominal arguments of intransitive verbs with the S function (1) and A-function nominals of transitive verbs (2) are both morphologically unmarked (Bartens 2000: 329, Lobanova 2017: 32–35). Nominals with the P function tend to be unmarked when inanimate (2), whereas animate ones take an accusative case suffix (3).
