In Komi-Permyak polar questions in simple sentences can be expressed with help of question intonation (1), or using the question particle ja (2) (Lobanova 2017: 27–28). The particle usually follows the predicate, be it verbal (2) or non-verbal (3). It can appear after other sentence elements as well (4) (Ponomareva 2010: 57).
