In Komi-Permyak, possibility is expressed by the combination of the infinitival form of the verb and one of the (auxiliary) verbs kužny ’can’, vermyny ’be able to’, poźö ’be possible, be allowed’, tujö ’ibid’. The finite verb expressing possibility usually precedes the infinitive (1)–(3), but, less commonly, it can also follow it (4) (L. P.). Further research is needed to establish the details.
