In Komi-Permyak the case suffixes are typically monoexponential, expressing only case without indicating number or any other category, cf. (3)–(4). On nouns expressing possession, polyexponential – synchronically unsegmentable – forms can also be found that besides the case of the noun encode the number and person of the possessor as well (5)–(6) (cf. Bartens 2000: 112–118, Ponomareva 2010).
