VInf=NomCase & VInfCase

VInf=NomCase: Case is marked on nouns; some case affixes attach to nonfinites as well if these nonfinites serve a pronominal function.

VInfCase: Case is marked on nouns; some case affixes attach directly to nonfinites as well, such that the inflected nonfinite serves a non-nominal (e.g., adverbial) function.

In Komi-Permyak, non-finites used attributively (1)–(2) or with an adverbial function (3) can be marked for case (Bartens 2000: 228–265, Batalova 2002: 104–108), as opposed to infinitives, which cannot have case suffixes (Bartens 2000: 228–232). Participles can have either a pronominal (1) or adverbial (2) function, while converbs (3) can only be used as the latter (L. P., V. E.).
