Komi-Permyak verbs can be marked morphologically for the number and person of the subject, polarity, mood (for imperative mood), and tense, which is also used to express evidentiality (see the parameters on Evidentiality and the Coding of evidentials as well). The suffixes for tense and mood cannot appear on the verb at the same time, while the categories for tense and evidentiality are syncretic. Maximally inflected verb forms (1) can express information on the person and number of the subject, tense and evidentiality, and polarity (Bartens 2000: 173–228, Ponomareva 2002: 124–143, Ponaryadov 2002).
