ZeroIntr: Avalent verbs, characterized by being able to form a non-elliptical, grammatical clause without a single argument, exist as a subclass of intransitive verbs.

In Komi-Permyak there are verbs – typically weather verbs – that require no obligatory subject argument (1)–(3). A subset of these can optionally have a noun meaning ‘god’ as its subject (4) (cf. F. Gulyás 2016: 133–134).
