In Udmurt non-periphrastic causation is morphological in nature and is formed using the causative suffix -t- (2), (4) (Winkler 2001: 55, Tánczos 2015: 97–98). In such a causative construction the causee is in accusative case irrespective of whether the verb is intransitive (2) or transitive (4). Causative verb forms derived of transitive verbs result in double object structures (4) (Tánczos 2015: 101–102).
