In Udmurt, the grammatical subject is expressed by a personal pronoun (1) or a noun (2), and person marking on the verb (1)–(3). Udmurt is a pro-drop language, i.e. sentences without a visible subject are also grammatical, when only the person marking appearing on the verb encodes the subject (3).
