PhonInt: Polar questions appear in the same word order as their declarative equivalents and are marked exclusively by intonation.

In Udmurt, polar questions are formed with the help of an interrogative particle (1), but it is also possible to mark them solely by intonation (2) (Bartens 2000: 345, Winkler 2001: 66).
