NumClsfr

NumClsfr: The language has an obligatory or optional numeral classifier in its numeral constructions, which appears in the position after the numeral.

(1)1(pu)pomidor
1treetomato
’1 tomato plant’ (Agyagási – Dékány 2019: 61)

(2)1jyrsugon
1headonion
’one tomato head’ (UdmCorp.)

(3)eššo3śursjyrparśvord-e.
even3thousandheadpigraise3sg
’(S)he even raises 3 thousand pigs.’ (UdmCorp.)

(4)52skaljyrtunnekeľa-my.
52cowheadtodaysend.PST1PL
’Today we sent 52 cows on their way.’ (Y. S.)

In Udmurt quantified expressions, the optional classifiers follow the numeral, in most of the cases appearing directly after it (1)–(3), but the numeral-noun-classifier order is also attested (4).
