In Udmurt case markers are typically monoexponential, expressing only case without indicating number or any other category (2), (4). On nouns expressing possession, polyexponential – synchronically unsegmentable – forms can also be found that besides the case of the noun encode the number and person of the possessor as well (6), (8).
